I am an economist with a PhD in education skilled in advanced quantitative methods (eg., multilevel models, structural equation models, psychometric models, causal inference techniques, spatial analysis) and interested in equity, effectiveness, and policy monitoring in education. I have developed the R package ‘intsvy’ with analysis and visualisation tools for large-scale assessment datasets, like PISA and TIMSS.
At the University of Oxford, I have led the MSc Research Design and Methodology pathway at the Department of Education, lectured on advanced quantitative methods at the Social Sciences Division, and contributed to assessment projects at OUCEA.
I’ve worked as consultant for UNESCO, UNICEF, IDB, OECD, World Bank, OSF, and MoES in projects involving SDG 4.1 policy monitoring, capacity building, analysis of survey data, spatial visualisation of geo-coded data, preparation of reports, policy briefs, and factsheets across different countries in Africa, Latin America and Europe.
